ELECTRONIC DEVICES AND CIRCUITS LAB
Electronics plays an important role in every activity of our life. It has large number of applications in communication, instrumentation. Defence, Medicine, Entertainment, etc. EDC Lab is fully equipped sufficient number of electronic instruments like CRO, Function Generator, Digital Multimeter, Analog Mutimeter, Regulated power supplies in various ranges including testing equipment like LCR-Q meter and output audio power. Lab experiments are done on semiconductor devices like transistors, diodes, UJT, FET, SCR etc.

DIGITAL LAB
The areas of application of digital electronics have been increasing every day. Our lab is completely digitalized with digital trainer kits, testing software VHDL and IC testing units. The experiments are based on characteristic features and applications of MUX, DEMUX, PARITY CHECKER / GENERATOR, COUNTERS, DECODER etc.

DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING LAB
Digital Signal processing is an area of science and Engineering that has developed rapidly in recent years. This rapid development is a result of the significant advances in digital computer technology and IC fabrication. The processing of the signals is done by means of Digital signal processing. The processor must have specialized high – speed arithmetic data transfer to and from the real world and multiple access memory architecture. For that purpose, in our DSP lab We are employing processor TMS320 CXXs and MATLAB software.

The Digital Signal Processing techniques are widely used in speech processing and signal transmission on telephone channels, in image processing and transmission in seismology and geophysics, in oil exploration, in the detection of nuclear explosion and in a variety of other areas.

MICROPROCESSOR AND APPLICATIONS LAB
Microprocessor being the heart of the Electronic industry, this lab is well equipped with sufficient number of kits on both 8085 and 8086 Microprocessors and 8051 Micro controller.
The students carry out the Assembly Language Programming and various techniques of interfacing 8085 and 8086 with other peripheral devices like keyboard, display, DAC, ADC, Traffic Light Controller, Stepper Motor Controller, DMA Controller Peripheral interface, timer etc.
Various case studies are carried out in controlling Temperature, Traffic Light System and speed of the Stepper Motor.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS LAB
This is one of the well – established laboratories in the ECE department. Here, we are processing with both analog and digital signals. Analog signals are modulated and demodulated using amplitude, phase and frequency modulation techniques. Digital signals are modulated and demodulated by using pulse code modulation techniques. In addition to this, for particular application, including digital telecasting, which are used in today’s television for perfect and noiseless communication, the analog signals are converted into digital using sampler. When all these are achieved here using kits, we have the great advantage of noise free speedy communication by which we can obtain the outputs in a fraction of a second.

VLSI LAB
VLSI technology replaces the hardwired technology to a great extent by means of simple programmable ICs. This lab is fully equipped with sufficient number of latest higher end PCs, FPGA kits, Simulator and Synthesizer tools and transistor level spice modeling tools at a cost Rs. 5 Lakhs.

OPTICAL & MICROWAVE LAB
The new & very advanced trend in the field of communication is Optical & microwave communication. Here we are analyzing the characteristics of Fibres Coupling Fibre to Semi-Conductor sources-Connectors & splices and establishing Fibre optic communication Links.
Also we are doing typical experiments on microwave like VSWR measurments, microwave power measurement and analyzing the characteristics of Gunn diode oscillator.
This lab is well – equipped with high technological concepts; at a cost of Rs. 7 Lakhs.
